65% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc.
"A blend of 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Angelus reveals a deep garnet-purple color and fragrant aromas of crushed red currants, warm plums and pencil shavings with hints of incense, sage, violets and tobacco. Full-bodied, very fine and intense yet exquisitely delicate with wonderful freshness, it has ripe yet firm, very finely grained tannins and an epically long, perfumed finish. With bags of perfume and a captivating plushness, this Angelus is a real head-turner!" - Robert Parkers Wine Advocate
"Stilvoll und sich selber treu, kompakt, dicht, imposant, mit besonderem Temperament und Charakter. Langer, vielschichtiger Ausklang auf Noten von Leder, Schokolade, Gewürzen, schwarzen Beeren." - Vinum Wine Magazine
"This wine is structured, powerful and ripe but also elegant and stylish. Juicy black fruits combine with a dry, structured core to give the wine both its richness and its future. Powered by its fruit and tannins, it has good aging potential. Drink from 2027." - Wine Enthusiast
"Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung, intensives dunkles Beerenkonfit, feiner Nougat, ein Hauch von Lakritze, kandierte Orangenzesten. Komplex, Brombeeren, reife Kirschen, straffe Tannine, würziger Abgang, mineralisch und anhaltend, sehr gute Frische, lebendiger, saliner Stil, Herzkirschen und Orangen im Finish, gutes Zukunftspotenzial." - Falstaff
"The nose is aromatic, elegant, delicate, fine, precise, complex and quite generous. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and violet associated with fine hints of plum, cornflower, spice as well as a toasted touch, a touch of licorice and a hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, elegant, suave, well-balanced, precise and offers precision, a beautiful tannic structure as well as a beautiful, unctuous and slightly silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, blackberry jam associated with fine toasted notes, red fruit and slight notes of coffee on the persistence. Tannins are fine, elegant, tight and slightly firm. Good length and aromatic persistence. A beautifully harmonious wine!" - VertdeVin
