"On the nose it is fresh, elegant, racy it offers a lovely delicacy in its richness, an airy character, harmony and a fine grain and discreetly tight . It reveals the notes of pulpy wild blackberry, bright/fleshy strawberry and small fleshy blue currants associated with hints of cherries, blackberry/sour cherry, tonka beans, lilac as well as hints of nutmeg and a subtle almost saline edge. On the mouth it is fruity, classic in its noble sense and offers juiciness, freshness, deliciousness, a nice tannic framework structuring but delicate, an airy character in the approach, a discreet compact side, a nice expression of slight bitterness, a nice structure/definition, creaminess, precision. The wine express notes of bright blackberry, pulpy/sparkling cassis and more lightly blueberry associated with touches of cornflower, bourbon vanilla as well as hints of sweet spice cardamom, bergamot and a subtle hint of sweet blond tobacco. Château Hosanna ist ein Bordeaux-Weingut in der Appellation Pomerol. Es wurde 1999 gegründet, als Château Certan Giraud von dem etablierten Bordeaux-Negociant Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix gekauft wurde. Ein Teil wurde in Hosanna umbenannt, die anderen zwei Hektar wurden zu Château Certan Marzelle. Das Anwesen liegt gegenüber von Pétrus (ebenfalls Teil des Moueix-Stalles) und zwischen Lafleur und Vieux Château Certan.
Hosanna umfasst 4,5 Hektar Rebfläche auf Böden aus rotem Kies mit Lehm- und Sandschichten (die berühmten eisenhaltigen "Crasse de fer"-Böden der Appellation). Der Weinberg ist zu 70 % mit Merlot und zu relativ hohen 30 % mit Cabernet Franc bepflanzt.
Der hohe Anteil des Cabernet Franc im Wein trägt dazu bei, dass der Hosanna als delikateres Gegenstück zum Pétrus gilt.
